Howry, Breen & Herman, LLP is proud to be known as the law firm that locals in Austin and people across Texas know for being able to take on challenging claims and trials. We’re excited to announce that our ability to help more people in hard-fought cases has grown yet again with the recent addition of Associate Attorney Lex Townsley.
Lex will focus primarily on civil litigation now that he is a member of Howry, Breen & Herman, LLP. He has a long history of representing clients in catastrophic injury lawsuits that have gone before a judge and jury, including many that involved car accidents, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and even complex cases involving construction defects. Attorney Townsley has earned a reputation among his colleagues, legal peers from other law firms, and courtroom officials as someone who knows how to relate to and win over juries.

More About Attorney Lex Townsley
Lex went to the University of California College of Law, San Francisco, where he completed his J.D. While at law school, he was a board member of the Moot Court Team and competed in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition, ultimately reaching the quarterfinals. Before going to law school, he earned his undergraduate degree from New York University (NYU), where he double majored in Anthropology and French.
Between law school and NYU, Lex worked for two years as an English Language Assistant in southern France. Although he had always been someone who loved meeting new people and learning new cultures, the time he spent in France and working with students cemented these passions.
Many have said that Lex was born to be an attorney because so many of his family members are, too. His father and his great-uncle opened their own law firm decades ago, and his brother and sister-and-law are personal injury attorneys in Louisiana, not too far from Lex’s hometown. He is proud to carry on the family tradition as a civil litigation attorney with Howry, Breen & Herman, LLP, where he can fight for justice and compensation for the wrongfully injured.
In his free time, Lex likes to run, go to wine-tasting events, grow orchids, or relax in the dog park with his loyal companion, a German-shorthaired pointer.
