Our team at Howry Breen & Herman, LLP is pleased to announce that Scott DeShazo has joined the firm as a Partner.
Scott is a proven, seasoned real trial lawyer with a proven record of jury verdict results for clients inhigh-stakes litigation. Over the course of his career, he has tried more than 50 jury trials to verdict, secured millions and millions in recoveries, and represented individuals and businesses in cases involving catastrophic injuries, negligence, and other serious damages. His experience includes representing victims involving traumatic brain injuries, paralysis, burns, wrongful death, and other life-altering losses.
Prior to rejoining Howry Breen & Herman, LLP, Scott founded DeShazo & Nesbitt, where he practiced personal injury law from 2007 to 2024. Earlier in his career, he also served in the Texas Attorney General’s Office. In addition to his trial work, Scott is an accomplished appellate lawyer and has handled cases in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued and prosecuted matters at the appellate level.
Notably, Scott is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction earned by fewer than 10% of practicing attorneys in the state. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, another recognition that reflects the depth of his connections with juries, courtroom experience and commitment to trial advocacy. He brings to our firm not only substantial experience and skill, but also a personal approach to representing clients and families facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
