Lex Townsley

Associate Attorney

Lex Townsley is an accomplished trial attorney at Howry Breen & Herman, LLP, where he practices civil litigation, representing individuals in serious personal injury and premises liability cases. Prior to joining the firm, Lex represented plaintiffs in a wide variety of state and federal civil litigation matters. Lex has earned the trust of clients as he sought and recovered full and fair compensation for serious injuries suffered in motor vehicle collisions, traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, burn injuries, slip-and-falls, dog attacks, premises liability claims, commercial motor vehicle collisions, as well as workplace injuries. He has successfully represented property owners in construction defect proceedings in full and fair settlements for repairs. Lex earns the trust of clients through his hard work, attention to detail and his empathy and compassion. Juries love Lex for the same reasons.

Lex holds his law degree from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. During his time at law school, Lex was a board member of the Moot Court Team and competed in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition, where he advanced to the quarterfinals. Additionally, Lex achieved a CALI award for Alternative Dispute Resolution and a Best Oral Advocate Award for Legal Research and Writing.

Lex obtained his undergraduate degree from New York University (NYU) where he earned his B.A. with double majors in Anthropology and French. While at NYU, Lex enjoyed working as a laboratory assistant in the Biological Anthropology Department.

After graduating from NYU, Lex spent two years working as an English Language Assistant in southern France. During this time, Lex worked with students from pre-K through 12th grade, making lesson plans and assisting in English language instruction.

Lex was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Being a trial lawyer is in Lex’s DNA. Lex comes from a family of attorneys, his father and Great-Uncle opened their own firm over 30 years ago, and now his brother and sister-in-law are also personal injury attorneys in Louisiana. Lex enjoys running, attending wine tastings, growing orchids, and spending time at the dog park with his German-shorthaired pointer.
