Attorney Breen Wins Traumatic Brain Injury Settlement
Attorney Sean Breen recently secured a $4.3 million dollar victory settlement for a client with a traumatic brain injury from a violent car wreck ($2,941,000 net to client; $97,736 case expenses; $1,352,000 attorney’s fees). An underinsured drunk driver negligently operating his vehicle at speeds of over 100 mph smashed into the back of the client’s car causing a traumatic brain injury, facial lacerations and other severe, life-long permanent injuries, along with substantial economic damages. The negligent driver carried minimal insurance, forcing the client to file a UIM claim. The insurance carrier repeatedly and wrongfully asserted that it owed no duty to the client until a jury verdict was awarded but Attorney Breen disagreed, filed suit, aggressively pursued it and the insurance company settled and surrendered as trial approached.
The victory is not only for this client, who received full and fair compensation, but also for the others who will benefit from this kind of aggressive action when their own insurance companies balk at paying them the full and fair compensation they deserve.
