Bicycle accidents are serious – they can be so much worse than a car on car accident. We know. We have handled hundreds of bike crashes and helped cyclists recover what they deserve after a crash.
Bike trails and lanes throughout Austin give bicyclists opportunities to travel the city safely. Yet no amount of precautions can protect them from every reckless and negligent motorist on the street. Our law firm proudly represents injured bicyclists from throughout our community. In many of these cases, the injuries they suffer are catastrophic, so we double our impressive efforts to fight for every last penny of compensation owed to our clients.
Not all cases can be concluded through arbitration or mediation. When the stakes are high and the subject matter is complex, courtroom litigation might be the only way to reach a proper conclusion. Our attorneys are highly experienced with business and commercial litigation, as well as insurance, real estate, and oil or gas litigation. Knowing the ins and outs of litigation does not just mean being able to overcome the opposition, though. It requires an in-depth understanding of courtroom procedures, a familiarity with local judges, and a strong reputation with the community to start a case in good standing with the jurors. When so much is hanging in the balance for your case that goes to court, you should not chance it by picking any other law firm.
A catastrophic injury is any injury that causes immediate and significant symptoms and will likely cause lifelong consequences. Many of the most serious personal injury cases that we accept involve brain, burn, and spinal cord injuries. A “mild” traumatic brain injury (TBI) can be lifechanging as it may cause speech impediments, memory issues, loss of motor control, and more. Third-degree burns are also considered catastrophic because they will cause permanent scarring, even with rapid and thorough emergency medical care. A small injury to the spinal cord can trigger paralysis, which might be temporary, permanent, partial, or total.
Our law firm receives calls practically every day from inquiring clients who were hurt in a motor vehicle accident that was not their fault. No matter how defensive and responsible of a driver you may be, there is always a chance that you could be blindsided by a negligent motorist. While you cannot always avoid a motor vehicle accident, you can always make the right choice by bringing your claim to Howry, Breen & Herman. Our lawyers are capable of handling cases involving cars, motorcycles, buses, and commercial trucks, and that were caused by driver intoxication, distraction, speeding, and more. We hope to be the one and only name you need to know after a motor vehicle accident, an honor we intend to earn through hard work and dedication to upholding and preserving your best interests.
A product can become defective by design, manufacturing, or marketing. A design defect is an issue with the product that could not be avoided because it was integrated into the product’s design. Manufacturing defects are issues that occur at some point between the design phase and the point-of-sale. A marketing defect is when a product’s advertisements, packaging, or instructions are misleading to the point where someone could get hurt while trying to use the product. No matter what type of defective product hurt you or how it happened, we want to hear from you to see how we can help through reliable legal representation.
